Literature Text

The door snapped shut and locked from the outside. You spun around and furiously shook the door knob. It was no use; you were trapped. Trapped  in there, trapped in with... that thing. The Thing holds no sympathy, no remorse, no mercy. It was devoid of any love, any kindness. It held nothing close but shadow and darkness.
It did not matter anyway. You were stuck here with the Creature. As the lore goes, It has no features but instead morphs into the thing you fear most. But what did you fear? It never really matter to you until now. Your mind wondered, thinking of what terrible creature the Thing would morph into for you, though you wouldn't find out as you could not see. The Creatures room, this room, held no light. The Thing could be at the far end, or It could be mere inches from you. It holds no life, no breath.
The room was deafeningly silent. Your ragged breathing and the pulses of your heart were the only sounds that you could hear. Your ears searched for something, anything to hear, but you could hear nothing as the Thing heard every tiny sound you made: the breaths that slowly became even, the shifting of your weight from one foot to the other, the knob turning as you fruitlessly try to open the door, and your ever beating heart.
Hours passed by as you stood still. The stress sweat stopped and now you were cold, so very cold. Shutters broke out on your cold skin, as well as chattering teeth. You knew the only way to warm up was to move. You let go of the door knob and took your first step in the room. The sound echoed.
Step after step, yard after yard, you kept going. Your arms were folded against your chest, trying to keep yourself warm. Your eyes searched for something to see.
Soon tiredness began to take over. Steps became heavier and more sluggish and eyes started to refuse to stay open. Sitting down to rest wouldn't hurt, would it? You have to rest sometime.
You slowed to a stop and sat down, crossing your legs and arms. Your eyes drooped and you began to nod off. You slowly laid down and slept.
You have yet to wake up.
I just felt like writing a "scary" story.
